Deadstock Outfitters is a limited-run apparel brand, designed and constructed in Brooklyn.  We focus on reinventing and upcycling unconventional antique and vintage textiles — ranging from tablecloths, curtains, upholsteries, to blankets. Every garment is meticulously considered, resulting in fresh, easy-wearing yet unconventional pieces. Hunter Kaczorowski and Nicholas Hussong (Creative Directors) met in graduate school while pursuing an MFA, and have been best friends ever since.

Hunter is an artist, illustrator and costume designer.  He made his first shirt when he was eighteen: a long-sleeve, point collar dress shirt out of a few yards of deadstock 1960’s floral cotton poplin (he also made a matching bowtie!).  He has spent the last two decades continuing to experiment with textiles, garment construction, and storytelling.

Nicholas is a Tony-Nominated artist and producer. In addition to Deadstock Outfitters, he is Creative Producer for Dwight Street Bookclub and an adjunct professor at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Nicholas created this brand alongside Hunter to create one of a kind pieces of wearable art that celebrate our history in an sustainable way.
